Keep Your Dollars in Town: SHOP RVA THIS WEEKEND!

Curated Culture is proud to celebrate the work of The Bridge CDC, the organization behind Shop Richmond Weekend taking place this weekend March 19, 20, 21, 2010!

There’s no better way to keep our community thriving than by Shopping Local and keeping your dollars here, in your own home town! Don’t look to Amazon or Ebay or Walmart or Lowe’s to get you what you need. Everything you need, and want, can be found right here in RVA, provided by your friendly neighbors. And by buying only local this weekend, you’re helping to improve our community’s economic development and the well-being of those friends and neighbors that are contributing to making our community so unique. Just think about whether you’d like to see your favorite establishments stay in business.

Shop RVA Decal

We’re helping our friends with Shop RVA spread the word about shopping local by lending them space at 323 West Broad Street (Artisan Alley building) this Saturday, March 20 for the big push. They’ll be on site to help you learn more about why it’s important to shop local and about our diverse local biz community. There will be SO much going on Downtown on Saturday along the streets and inside the businesses. Experience vendors, live music, artists and craft activities as well as dining specials at the local restaurants and sales at the retail shops.

Keep the third Saturday of the month on your calendar as this Saturday is also the launch of “Saturday Stroll”, a new effort coordinated by the downtown businesses to promote the diversity of shopping, dining, and entertainment options found on and off Broad Street.

You can learn more about what businesses are participating and about this weekend’s plans at: http://www.shoprva.org

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, March 20 from 10am-2pm at our space – 323 West Broad Street (near 1708 Gallery)
